It seems I have taken a "summer break" from blogging. Didn't plan it that way, but that is what's happened.
It's been a wonderful and super duper busy last two months. It's been great times with some of my favorite people. It's been lots of family time. Lots of traveling. Lots of time spent outside simply playing!! Instead of trying to catch up on two months in one go, I will just throw bits in as they seem to fit.
First, recent events/pics
Addie's first hair cut....
OK, technically it's her second hair cut. I took her to the salon on Friday where I only let them cut a teeny tiny dusting of hair off....crazy really! Today Beth convinced me she really needed a proper hair cut. I got her some sewing scissors and a few bags of sweets for Addie and we ended up with this gorgeous new look....a little bob of sorts! I think she looks EXACTLY like my mom when she was a little girl!
This was her hair prior to going into the salon:
*there is no need to show an "after the salon" photo b/c there was seriously no difference (totally my fault, not the stylist's.)
Other news....
Dean machine turned five the end of June. He had a big school friend's party (which my mom got to be here for) and a couple family/neighbor/close friend parties.
Matty (my younger brother) paid us a surprise visit just after Dean's birthday...actually the day after my dad arrived. So fun for us all to be together!!!
There has been a lot of camping going on this summer. We've also had lots of fun "roughing" it at "Camp Bacchus" (aka Mia's fields). Our "camp site" looked like the scene of a Kath Kidston or Boden catalog photo shoot. Seriously good fun!!

*love this story...Dean actually thought Spike's dad was called "Plug", as in "grandpa PLUG".....it's actually Grandpa DOUG!!!!

Hello stranger, so good to see new pics of you and your lovely people. I have also been a poor summer blogger, but I feel you can't beat a good photo update like yours! Love your layouts - have only done a few all summer but have a whole evening stretched out in front of me with some new goodies to play with:) Please can we come on your Cath Kidston camping trip next year??
